These terms govern your use of strategiccryptoreserve.ca and everything Strategic Crypto Reserve offers through it: free content, memberships, digital collectibles, paid community access, the optional $SCR token, sponsored and affiliate content, and crypto data centre services. Please read them before you buy anything or join the community.

Strategic Crypto Reserve ("SCR", "we", "us") is a Canadian blockchain media and digital collectibles business based in the Comox Valley, British Columbia. By using strategiccryptoreserve.ca, buying from us, joining an SCR community channel or using any SCR product (together, the "Services"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Services.
Some products have their own terms, which are shown at the point of sale. Those product terms apply alongside these terms, and if the two conflict, the product terms win for that product. In particular, the AI Build Configurator is governed by its Licence Terms and Annual Usage Agreement.
If you use the Services on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business, and "you" includes the business.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. You may not use the Services if you are subject to Canadian, US or United Nations sanctions, are located in a sanctioned country or region, or are barred from receiving the Services by any applicable law. You are responsible for making sure your use of the Services, including any purchase of digital collectibles or tokens, is lawful where you live.
Please read this section carefully. SCR is a parody and entertainment project. Our collectibles, characters, token and "reserve" branding are satirical. Nothing on this site is an offer of securities, an investment opportunity, or a promise of profit.
Our articles, calculators, research and news summaries are general information for education and entertainment. They are not financial, investment, tax, legal, engineering or professional advice, and they are not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset. Crypto-assets are volatile and you can lose everything you put into them. Speak to a qualified, licensed adviser before making financial decisions.
Collections that reference real public figures, brands or events are parody and commentary. They are not endorsed by, affiliated with or sponsored by the people or organizations referenced.
You may read, share links to and quote short excerpts from our free content for personal and non-commercial use, with a link back to the source page. You may not copy whole pages, republish our content as your own, scrape the site in bulk, or use our content to train or build a competing product without written permission. Free tools that we publish as downloadable or embeddable widgets are covered by the licence stated on the tool's own page.
Content may be out of date. Rates, prices, regulations and market data change often, so check anything important with the original source before relying on it.
Memberships and paid community access give you access to content, community spaces, perks and discounts described at the time you buy. A membership is a subscription to access and community. It is not an investment, does not give you any ownership interest in SCR, and does not entitle you to any share of revenue, profits or assets.
SCR digital collectibles, including Caddy the Cadborosaurus and our parody drops, are sold for entertainment, digital ownership and community utility. Limited-edition means we limit the number minted in that drop; it is not a statement about present or future value.
When you acquire an SCR collectible, you own the token recorded on the blockchain. SCR keeps all copyright and other rights in the artwork, characters and brand. As long as you hold the token, SCR grants you a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display the associated artwork for personal, non-commercial purposes, including as a profile picture, on marketplaces, and in online galleries. This licence moves to the next holder when you sell or transfer the token, and it ends for you when you no longer hold it.
You may not use the artwork to create merchandise, advertising or other commercial products, or to suggest SCR endorses you, without our written permission. You may not use the artwork in any way that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or unlawful.
Collectibles may be minted or sold through third-party marketplaces such as OpenSea. Those purchases are also governed by the marketplace's terms, and a creator royalty may apply to secondary sales where the marketplace supports it. Prices shown on the site are for information and may differ from the marketplace at the time of sale.
$SCR is a parody utility token on the Polygon network. Its only intended use is as an optional access or discount mechanism within SCR products, such as reduced pricing on selected memberships or drops. You never need to hold $SCR to use the Services.
The AI Build Configurator is licensed, not sold. Use of the widget, its hosted script, its outputs and any licence key is governed by the Licence Terms and Annual Usage Agreement provided with each licence. Those terms control over these terms for anything to do with the software, including licence tiers, permitted domains, fees, renewals, warranties and liability.
Outputs are planning-grade estimates based on published benchmarks and indicative utility, tax and cost data. They are not engineering quotes, utility commitments or financial advice. Independent sales representatives may introduce the software, but only SCR can issue a licence, and only statements in the written licence terms bind SCR.
Consulting, design, hosting or other crypto data centre services are provided under a written quote, statement of work or service agreement that sets out the scope, fees and timeline. That document governs the service. We don't guarantee mining rewards, hash rate, uptime of third-party equipment, electricity pricing or utility approvals, all of which depend on factors outside our control.
Prices are shown in Canadian or US dollars as stated at checkout, and exclude applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for taxes on your purchases, including any tax due on crypto-asset transactions. Card payments are processed by Stripe; crypto payments are processed on the relevant blockchain.
Renewals. Each product states whether it renews. Where a membership renews automatically, we will say so before you buy, remind you before each annual renewal, and let you cancel at any time before the renewal date. AI Build Configurator licences do not auto-charge; renewals are invoiced.
Refunds. Because digital products are delivered immediately and blockchain transactions can't be reversed, completed collectible, token and mint transactions are final. Membership and licence fees are non-refundable once access has been delivered, except as stated in section 5, in the product terms, or where the law requires. If something you paid for isn't delivered, or doesn't work as described, contact us and we'll fix it or refund you. Network (gas) fees are paid to the blockchain, not to SCR, and can't be refunded.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law, including British Columbia's Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act, that cannot be waived by contract.
When using the Services or any SCR community channel, you must not:
Community spaces hosted on Discord, X and similar platforms are also subject to those platforms' rules. Moderators may remove content and restrict access to keep the community safe. Report concerns to a moderator or to support@strategiccryptoreserve.ca.
SCR and its licensors own the site, content, artwork, characters, software, calculation models, data compilations, logos and trademarks, including the Strategic Crypto Reserve name and Caddy the Cadborosaurus. Except for the limited rights granted in these terms or in product terms, no rights are transferred to you.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without obligation to you. If you post content in an SCR community space, you keep ownership of it and give SCR a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it within that space and to share it on SCR channels with credit to you.
If you believe something on the site infringes your rights, email us with the work concerned, where it appears on our site and your contact details. We will review it and respond promptly, and may remove the material.
The Services link to and rely on services we don't control, including Polygon and other blockchains, wallet software such as MetaMask, marketplaces such as OpenSea, exchanges and liquidity pools, Stripe, Discord and X. Your use of them is governed by their terms. SCR is not responsible for their availability, security, fees, decisions or content, and a link is not an endorsement.
By using blockchain-based products, you acknowledge that:
To the extent the law allows, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available". SCR does not promise that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that content is complete or current, or that any collectible, token or membership will have or keep any value. We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions don't allow these exclusions, so some may not apply to you.
To the extent the law allows, SCR is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost digital assets, trading losses or business interruption, arising from or related to the Services, even if we were told they were possible.
To the extent the law allows, SCR's total liability for all claims related to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid SCR for the Service giving rise to the claim in the 12 months before the claim arose, or CAD $100. This limit doesn't apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for injury caused by negligence.
You agree to compensate SCR for reasonable losses, costs and legal fees arising from a third-party claim caused by your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of law or of someone else's rights. This section doesn't apply to consumers where local law prohibits it.
You can stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or end your access to a membership, community space, licence or other Service if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, if required by law, or to protect other users or SCR. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem first. If we end a paid Service without cause, we will refund any prepaid, unused period.
We cannot remove a collectible or token from your wallet, but we may stop providing SCR benefits linked to it when access is terminated for a breach. Sections that by their nature should continue, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law, survive termination.
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Before starting any formal proceeding, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally within 30 days.
If a dispute isn't resolved, the courts of British Columbia have exclusive jurisdiction, and you and SCR agree to submit to them. Claims within the monetary limit may be brought in the BC Civil Resolution Tribunal or Small Claims Court. If you are a consumer, nothing in this section takes away your right to bring a claim in the courts where you live or any other right that consumer protection law in your province, state or country gives you.
